We have two Border Collies, one is now nine and the other is two. Both are
very active but the older one has some arthritis such that after running on
the beach for an hour her joints stiffen up when she lies down for a while
and she sometimes limps a bit. When her arthritis first started troubling
her we looked for a good quality food with glucosamine for her and at first
got it from suppliers in Sussex recommended by a friend but delivery was
difficult. Then we found Stephen and Linda who helped us experiment with
Trophy's varieties until we found the best for her.

We also get a different variety from them for the younger one. We particularly value their friendly personal service and the fact that they deliver to the door, in fact Steve often delivers to the very spot in the house where we keep their food.

They are great friends with the dogs, who, I'm sure, understand that Steve and
Linda bring their food and that, especially for a dog, is a very good reason
to be friends with someone. We try to give Steve and Linda reasonable
warning when we need more supplies but occasionally it's urgent and we are
grateful for their efforts to deliver it rapidly. We believe that an
important element in having healthy dogs with good coat, teeth etc is a good
diet and Trophy has provided this for us.

Hello Stephen & Linda

I wanted to write to tell you that the change of food for our Labrador, Breac, has been a success. His "waste product" is quite normal since he came off Dr John's Gold. In fact it started to improve as soon as we started to introduce the new food.

I don't know why I should be surprised at the quick improvment, having seen your adverts and heard what you had to say, but I had been afraid that Breac would have to go onto a wheat-free, or perhaps even a hypo-allergenic, diet. However it doesn't seem that this will be necessary - he only needed a change to your quality (Working Dog) food.

Thank you for your advice, and I'll get in touch when we need another bag.

My two Labs and Westie have been eating Trophy foods since they were puppies. The labs in particular have lovely glossy coats and are extremely fit and healthy. With regards to my Westie, it is the only dry food he will eat.

I would recommend Trophy foods to any dog owner. Also, Linda & Steve are really helpful giving advice on nutrition and any other new products that Trophy introduce.

Stephen & Linda are a very nice local couple who own and run Kingdom Trophy Pet Foods. We put our dogs on to the Trophy range because Tess the Newfoundland has problems with her skin, and certain brands of food make her more itchy. On looking into the ingredients list of most dog foods on the market, they are made with "Meat and animal derivatives" ... what on earth are they?! I suspected something in her food was causing her problems, so I did a bit of research to find a good-quality food that would help. Trophy foods are made with meat graded for human consumption, and they are highly digestible, so therefore less "waste" is produced (a dog owner's favourite subject!!). Each food in the range is only made with one protein source (eg salmon, or chicken) so it's very easy to identify the problem and try a different food. In Tess' case, it seems to be chicken that causes her to scratch, so she's now on the Hypoallergenic food, which is made with salmon. What a difference - her skin and coat are looking so much better and she is definitely less itchy. She's only been on the food for a couple of weeks, so I think things will keep improving as the weeks go on.

I was finding it difficult to get a dry food that my German Shepherd would take. I'd tried several brands and thought I'd try Trophy. I'd first met Stephen & Linda through dog obedience classes, when they were first starting their Trophy franchise. They were very helpful in offering advice and providing samples to try.

Kody took to his new food well and I've been buying Trophy for a year or more now. Kody now takes the new Holistic Dry Food with some Holistic canned food mixed in. I'd recommend Stephen & Linda (& Trophy) for their advice, helpfulness and fast delivery.

It must be 6 months ago when we first met John from Trophy Pet foods. At the time we were having trouble with the skin and fur condition of our Doberman bitch Rayne. John suggested we try Trophy Sensitive and Shine which is a hypo-allergenic (wheat free) food. We took his advice and have never looked back. I was beginning to despair of finding anything suitable for Gibbs to eat. Everything went straight through him and we were cleaning up outside about every hour with shovel and hosepipe. At a taste test with Deirdre [York Franchisee] we discussed the problem and agreed to try Gibbs on the Trophy Premium Puppy food and to put my other two dogs on the Trophy Premium Hypo-Allergenic. This meant all the dog food would be wheat gluten free. Deirdre also gave me other feeding tips for Gibbs which I have followed. Within 3 days we saw a change and now he is completely normal. Even his coat and general condition have improved and he is starting to put on weight as he should be. I will be recommending Trophy Pet Foods to everyone."

This is just to say thank you so much for all your help with Archie.

Just to re-cap;

Archie is a cross German Shepherd/Collie and was a rescue dog from the RSPCA. He was born on 26th January 2006. We got him when he was about 10 weeks old. He was a very nervous, anxious dog with a permanently badly upset tummy i.e. constant diarrhoea (usually on the kitchen floor!) and quite thin.

He had all sorts of tests at the vets but they found nothing wrong with his digestive system and recommended that we put him on the Life Science plan's large breed puppy food. Of course, we took their advice. Nothing improved, in fact the diarrhoea got gradually worse. We thought about changing his food but quite honestly didn't dare to in case it made him even worse. We resigned ourselves to the fact he would probably always have a 'delicate'
tummy.

And then we met you at Penistone Show. After you came round to see us, we decided to follow your advice and change Archie to Trophy Foods Premium Active. We did, as you suggested and put a small percentage in with his old food to start with, gradually building up to a complete change to Trophy after a week.

The change in Archie is nothing short of astounding. His whole manner has changed, he's calmer, less anxious, he's put on some weight and his diarrhoea has completely stopped. He doesn't have any accidents in the house at all now. We simply can't believe it but are so very happy that we found you and Trophy.

I've passed your details on to our dog trainer and she says that, after seeing with her own eyes the change in Archie, she is very happy to recommend you to other dog owners. Thank you for making Archie (and his mum and dad) very happy. Archie is now a very handsome, happy and contented chap.

A note to say thanks and let you know how well Tawna has progressed on the Premium Hypo
Allergenic. Since changing her to Trophy Premium Hypo Allergenic several months ago we have been able to phase the steroids out and she has now been free of medication, with no sign of the cough returning, for at least 3 months.

On top of this her coat shines and she looks and acts like a young dog again, of course having Muttley, our new pup, around has encouraged this too. It's great to see Tawna at 7 giving the 6 month old pup the run around. (Especially when I think back to how poorly she was a year ago when her allergy first started to appear). Muttley is on the Trophy Premium Large bite puppy at the moment but will definitely be joining Tawna on the Trophy Premium Hypo Allergenic when she is a bit older - I know she loves the taste as she will steal it from under Tawna's nose if not watched! Thanks for coming up with such a great food - with so many allergy problems around nowadays I am sure this will be welcomed by many dog owners.
